MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Intel)
The 13-inch Pro got a Magic Keyboard before the switch to Apple silicon.
Overview
Apple updated the 13-inch MacBook Pro in May 2020 with the Magic Keyboard, a physical Escape key and double the base storage. Two versions sold: a two-port model with an 8th-generation quad-core Core i5, and a four-port model with 10th-generation processors and faster memory.
The 13.3-inch Retina display with True Tone and P3 color remained, as did Touch Bar and Touch ID. Battery life was listed as up to 10 hours of web browsing.
It was a transitional machine: the M1 version arrived in November 2020, though the Intel four-port model stayed available until 2022.
Why it mattered
Finished the Intel era for the 13-inch Pro with a fixed keyboard.
