iPad Pro 13-inch (M5)
The 5.1 mm OLED Pro, upgraded to M5 and Wi-Fi 7.
Overview
The 13-inch iPad Pro with M5 changes nothing outwardly: it is still 5.1 mm thin, weighs 579 grams in Wi-Fi form and uses a tandem OLED panel with 2752 x 2064 resolution. All of the upgrades are internal.
The M5 chip offers more CPU and GPU performance than the M4 and a faster Neural Engine, and the base memory is 12 GB, rising to 16 GB on the 1 TB and 2 TB models. Storage is faster as well. Apple's N1 chip supplies Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, and cellular models use Apple's C1X modem rather than a third-party one.
The larger body holds a 38.99 Wh battery. As with the 11-inch model, it works with the Apple Pencil Pro and the earlier M4-era Magic Keyboard, and a nano-texture glass option remains available on the top storage tiers.
Why it mattered
Brought the first Apple-designed wireless and modem silicon to the largest iPad Pro.
