iPad Pro 11-inch (M5)
M5 speed and Apple's own wireless silicon in the OLED Pro.
Overview
Apple left the physical design of the iPad Pro alone in 2025 and concentrated on silicon. The M5 chip has a nine-core CPU on 256 GB and 512 GB models, a ten-core version on the 1 TB and 2 TB tiers, a ten-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, with 153 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Memory is 12 GB on the lower tiers and 16 GB on the higher ones.
Wireless hardware moved in-house: the N1 chip handles Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, and cellular models use Apple's C1X modem for sub-6 GHz 5G with eSIM only. Charging is faster, with about 50 percent restored in around 30 minutes using a suitable 60 W or stronger USB-C adapter.
The display, camera system, Face ID and Thunderbolt / USB 4 port match the M4 model, and the nano-texture glass option remains on the 1 TB and 2 TB versions. It works with Apple Pencil Pro and the previous-generation Magic Keyboard.
Why it mattered
The first iPad to use Apple's N1 wireless chip and C1X modem, and the first with 12 GB of base memory.
