iPad Air 11-inch (M4)
M4, 12 GB of memory and Wi-Fi 7 for the same $599.
Overview
The M4 iPad Air is another inside-only update. The outward design, 11-inch Liquid Retina display, Touch ID top button and landscape front camera are unchanged. The jump comes from the M4 chip, with an eight-core CPU and nine-core GPU, which Apple says is up to 30 percent faster than the M3 model.
Memory rises by half to 12 GB with 120 GB/s of bandwidth, a meaningful improvement for large documents, on-device AI models and heavier creative apps. Connectivity gets a lift too: the N1 chip supplies Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, and cellular versions add Apple's C1X modem for faster, more efficient 5G.
The starting price stays at $599 for 128 GB, and the colors are blue, purple, starlight and space gray. The Pencil Pro and the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air continue to be supported.
Why it mattered
Moved the Air to M4 with 50% more memory and Apple's in-house wireless chips without raising the price.
