iPad Air 11-inch (M3)
M3 power and Apple Intelligence in the unchanged Air body.
Overview
Apple's March 2025 Air is a chip bump with a few supporting changes. The 11-inch model looks identical to the M2 version, with the same Liquid Retina display, landscape front camera and Touch ID top button, but the M3 chip lifts performance and, with 8 GB of RAM, enables Apple Intelligence features on the tablet.
The M3 includes a hardware-accelerated ray tracing engine and a faster Neural Engine than the M2, which helps with creative apps and on-device models. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 carry over, and the Pencil Pro and Pencil (USB-C) are both supported.
A redesigned Magic Keyboard for iPad Air accompanied the launch, with a larger trackpad, function row and aluminum palm rest. The base price remained $599 for 128 GB, and the Air stayed in four colors: blue, purple, starlight and space gray.
Why it mattered
Made Apple Intelligence available on the Air and updated the keyboard accessory with a function row and bigger trackpad.
