Apple has introduced Apple Home Collection, a new lineup of smart home accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. According to Apple's newsroom announcement, the range covers indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell and a door lock.
What is in the range
Apple lists nine products with U.S. starting prices. From LG, the LG Video Doorbell Wired costs $249.95, the LG Floodlight Cam $399.95, the LG Outdoor Cam Plug-In $299.95, and the LG Indoor Cam Plug-In $199.95. The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock is $349.95, the LG Smart Thermostat $199.95 and the LG Temperature Sensor $39.95. Schneider contributes the Schneider Home Smart Thermostat at $199.95 and the Schneider Home Room Sensor at $39.95.
Apple also lists installation accessories in the U.S.: an LG C-Wire Power Adapter at $24.95, a Schneider Home Trim Plate at $14.95 and a Schneider Home C-Wire Power Adapter at $24.95.
Availability
The cameras and doorbell are slated for the U.S., Canada and the UK, while the lock, thermostats and sensors are listed for the U.S. and Canada. Apple says the lineup goes on sale in December 2026 through apple.com, the Apple Store app and Apple Store locations, with select accessories following in early 2027. For customers who want help, Apple says third-party installation from ADT will be offered through Apple Retail in the U.S. starting this fall, for an additional charge.
Tied to HomeView
Apple's announcement was published alongside its introduction of Apple HomeView. The company notes that HomeView is not for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS there.
Why it matters
Rather than designing every camera and thermostat itself, Apple is putting its name behind products made by established partners and selling them in its own stores. That gives the Home app a set of accessories sold directly by Apple, with prices that sit in the range of mainstream smart home devices. How well the products work with HomeView and the Home app will only become clear once they ship in December.
