Apple's new HomeView smart hub and the redesigned Apple TV 4K are already running into supply limits, with delivery estimates on Apple's online store now stretching well past the November 13 launch date, according to MacRumors and 9to5Mac.
What the delivery estimates show
Apple opened pre-orders for the products earlier this week and set November 13 as the on-sale date for both. MacRumors reports that the earliest pre-orders are still slated to arrive that day, but estimates for later orders of the tabletop HomeView have moved into early December for select colors. As an example, a silver tabletop unit showed delivery between November 23 and December 1 for a New York address and between November 30 and December 7 for some other U.S. locations. MacRumors notes that estimates vary by ZIP code.
The Apple TV 4K is in a similar position. 9to5Mac reported on Thursday that its estimates had slipped to the week of November 23, and MacRumors says the ranges now match those of the HomeView, running into early December in some areas. The tabletop HomeView in some colors and locations can still be delivered on November 13, and the wall-mounted HomeView had not seen delays at the time of MacRumors' report.
HomePod mini 2 is unaffected
The HomePod mini 2, which Apple announced alongside the other two products, appears to be in better supply. According to MacRumors, it is widely available for delivery on its October 30 launch date in all five colors. Apple has said the Siri AI features will reach the speaker in a future software update rather than at launch.
What to keep in mind
Apple has not commented publicly on the delivery estimates, and delays on its online store do not by themselves show how many units the company plans to ship. Retailers may have different timing: 9to5Mac noted that Amazon was still listing November 13 delivery for both the HomeView and the Apple TV 4K when it checked, and in-store pickup on launch day may also be possible.
Shoppers who want a HomeView on launch day may have better luck with a pickup order or a retailer, while those ordering through Apple online now should expect to wait longer than the launch date suggests. The situation is also a reminder of the supply tightness around Apple's fall lineup, which includes iPhone Duo orders that have slipped into 2027. Apple's own newsroom announcement describes HomeView as a new way to enjoy entertainment and manage the home, and early demand suggests many customers are interested in it.
