Apple has introduced Apple Home Collection, a lineup of smart home accessories built with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, according to a post on Apple's newsroom. The products are designed to pair with an iPhone in a single tap and to be managed through the Apple Home app.

What's in the lineup

The LG side covers cameras, a lock and climate gear. Apple lists a wired video doorbell at $249.95, a floodlight camera at $399.95, a plug-in outdoor camera at $299.95, a plug-in indoor camera at $199.95, a smart deadbolt at $349.95, a smart thermostat at $199.95 and a temperature sensor at $39.95. Schneider contributes its own thermostat at $199.95 and a room sensor at $39.95. Several add-ons, including C-wire power adapters and a trim plate, are priced between $14.95 and $24.95.

Features

According to Apple, the cameras record up to 2.5K video and can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages. Saved video history requires an iCloud+ plan, with 10 days of event history. Apple says footage is processed locally or in Private Cloud Compute, and that data is end-to-end encrypted.

The smart lock uses Ultra Wideband to detect an approaching user and unlock automatically for people with home keys. It also has a PIN pad and a backup key slot, supports the Aliro standard and works locally without an internet connection. The thermostats offer an Adaptive Temperature mode that relies on on-device intelligence, plus Clean Energy Guidance in the contiguous U.S. for customers on a compatible utility plan. The accessories support Thread and Matter and can update Wi-Fi credentials automatically.

Availability

The products are due in December through apple.com, the Apple Store app and Apple Store locations. Apple says select accessories will follow in early 2027. Professional installation through ADT at Apple Retail locations in the U.S. is offered for an additional charge. Apple also notes that the home experience is not sold in the EU because Siri AI is unavailable in iOS there.

Matthew Costello, Apple's vice president of hardware engineering, said in the announcement that the collection makes it easier to choose smart home accessories with confidence. Kihyun Jung, an executive vice president at LG Electronics, said the companies worked closely to create a more connected and convenient home experience.

The announcement follows Apple's recent HomePod mini 2 launch and extends its push into the home beyond its own speakers and displays.
