Taction asks court for ongoing royalties on iPhone and Apple Watch sales through 2035 after $5.7 billion verdict
Taction Technology, the company that won a $5.7 billion jury verdict against Apple over the Taptic Engine, is now asking the court to make Apple pay for future sales as well, according to a report from 9to5Mac that cites a filing first spotted by Reuters.
What Taction is asking for
The verdict covered iPhone and Apple Watch sales only through March 2026. In its new motion, Taction wants supplemental damages for roughly six further months of sales, plus ongoing royalties on future iPhone and Apple Watch sales until the two patents at issue expire on September 24, 2035.
