Apple has announced its annual Veterans Day Activity Challenge for Apple Watch, set for Wednesday, November 11, 2026, according to MacRumors.

What it takes

The requirement is simple: complete any workout lasting 11 minutes or more on November 11. Apple's own wording for the challenge says users can record their time with the Workout app or with any app that adds workouts to Apple Health, so sessions logged through third-party fitness apps should count as well.

What you get

Anyone who completes the challenge earns a limited-edition award, which appears in the Awards section of the Fitness app. As with Apple's other Activity Challenges, participants also receive a set of animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app. MacRumors notes that the report includes preview images of the stickers but does not detail each design.

A yearly tradition

Apple has run a Veterans Day challenge every year, and it is one of several special-date events the company schedules for Apple Watch wearers alongside challenges tied to Earth Day, Global Running Day and the holiday season. MacRumors also says Apple often marks Veterans Day with themed content in the App Store, Apple TV and Books apps, although the company had not detailed any such content for this year at the time of the report.

What to know before November 11

Because the challenge is tied to a single calendar day, the workout needs to be completed on November 11 in the user's local time zone. An 11-minute session is a low bar, and the award can be earned with walking, running, cycling, yoga or any other workout type that records into Health. People who rely on a different tracker should check that the app syncs workouts to Apple Health before the day arrives, since the award is granted only for workouts that are logged there.

Apple Watch awards are shown in the Fitness app on iPhone and are kept as part of a user's award history, so those who earn this one will be able to look back at it in future years. The challenge is described as taking place in the United States, and Apple has not published additional details such as regional availability beyond that.
