iPhone 16 Plus
The large iPhone 16, with the best battery life of any non-Pro model.
Overview
The iPhone 16 Plus delivered all the new features of the iPhone 16, including the A18 chip, Camera Control, the Action button and a 48-megapixel Fusion camera, in the larger 6.7-inch size. The OLED display has the same sharpness as the smaller model and a peak outdoor brightness of 2,000 nits.
Its big selling point was endurance. Apple rated the battery at up to 27 hours of video playback and 100 hours of audio playback, which made it the longest-lasting phone outside the Pro Max tier. A new battery design that used an electrically released adhesive helped make replacements easier.
Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools, notification summaries and Image Playground arrived through updates. The phone started at $899 and offered the same color range as the iPhone 16, with ultramarine and teal replacing the earlier blue and green options.
Why it mattered
It was the last Plus-sized iPhone in the lineup before the iPhone Air replaced the Plus slot in the 2025 lineup.
