iPhone 13 mini
The compact iPhone gets a smaller notch and longer battery life.
Overview
The iPhone 13 mini was the last small-screen flagship in Apple's lineup. It refined the 12 mini with a 20 percent narrower notch, a brighter display of up to 800 nits and, most noticeably, a battery that lasted about an hour and a half longer.
The main camera got a larger sensor and the sensor-shift image stabilization that was previously exclusive to the Pro Max. Cinematic mode, which blurs focus between subjects in video, and Photographic Styles were new software features. Inside, the A15 Bionic with a four-core GPU delivered more speed, and the storage tiers started at 128GB.
Colors included pink, blue, midnight, starlight and (PRODUCT)RED, with green added in 2022. It stayed in the lineup until 2023 but did not get a successor in the iPhone 14 generation.
Why it mattered
It ended the line of small flagship iPhones, making the 5.4-inch mini a short-lived experiment.
